The accusations of extra-judicial killings, mass graves, and of hanging dead bodies of alleged Taliban from lamp posts and in public squares in Malakand Division by Pakistani security forces hold firm ground after the release of the horrific video posted on FACEBOOK http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/6259747/Pakistan-soldiers-beat-civilians-in-Facebook-video.html  and YOUTUBE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BTrT9mrMW4 of the inhuman and degrading treatment of alleged Taliban supporters in Malakand Division. Reportedly, the Pakistani military spokesperson has said that actions will be taken against the officials involved in this egregious act of human right violation, it is not enough. It is now common knowledge that hundreds of people have been killed, even those who were in custody of the security agencies, without proper trial. The tactics used by Pakistani security agencies are worst than those used against the inmates in Guantanamo detention center, especially against the old as are evident in the video. There is little difference between the brutalities of the Taliban and the atrocities of the Pakistani security agencies, and tactics like these will ultimately increase public support for the Taliban instead of eliminating them. It is the responsibility of every responsible citizen of Pakistan and international human rights groups, including the United Nations, to investigate human rights abuses committed by both Taliban and the security forces during the Malakand Division operations and bring the culprits to justice.
