The Global Pashtun Institute for Peace and Democracy (GPIPD) is a U.S  based  non-profit (501c-3), non-governmental and non-partisan organization concentrated mainly on research, analysis and policy recommendation relating to Southwest Asia, especially the conflict ridden countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan. GPIPD is committed to enhancing public awareness of the culture, tradition, language and history of the Pashtun people and thus contributing to the promotion and strengthening of the Pashtun national identity.
